Standard

LifeCall Basic System

Safe & Secure at Home

LifeCall Standard Medical Alert Systems was designed to provide families with confidence and security in the event of an emergency. One of the simplest medical alert systems in the industry to activate and operate, the LifeCall Standard System is ideal for seniors or at-risk individuals who spend most of their time at home.

Easy & Affordable to Use

LifeCall Medical Alert Systems are designed for quick and easy set-up and can be fully operational in a matter of minutes. Once the system is ON, whenever an alarm is initiated a voice connection is established automatically with the LifeCall Response Center which is manned 24 hours a day. The built-in two-way voice function enables you to easily and confidently communicate your needs and provides the staff in the Response Center reliable, high quality communication back to you.

The base monitoring unit and Medical Alert transmitter button are fully monitored for the occurrence of any trouble condition. In the event of low batteries or power failure, LifeCall is informed automatically. A built-in back-up battery allows the base unit to continue to operate without power for up to five days. For your convenience, the LifeCall Standard System is VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and Cable phone compatible, as well as compatible with traditional telephone systems.1

LifeCall with FallAlert™ System

The Fear of Falling

This year one in three adults age 65 and older will fall, and two-thirds of those will experience another fall in the following six months. Among older adults, falls are the leading cause of injury.2 For persons who have a history, a fear, or are at risk of falling, LifeCall Medical Alert Systems with FallAlertTM can be an ideal solution – especially if one’s medical history includes a stroke, heart attack, dizziness/lightheadedness or issues with coordination. Featuring the latest and most innovative technology available in the industry, the  FallAlertTM  detection sensors can detect a fall as it occurs and automatically signal the base monitoring unit for assistance.

If You Can’t Call Us

LifeCall’s  FallAlertTM system features a Medical Alert pendant that includes sensors which detect between normal activity and an actual fall. By continuously measuring motion, movement and speed in all directions, the fall detector compares what it senses to what it considers an actual fall. If the FallAlertTM system detects a fall, and if there is no movement or tilt from horizontal to vertical positioning detected after 10 seconds, an unconsciousness alarm will be transmitted to the base monitoring unit, signaling for emergency assistance. The LifeCall emergency Response Center will establish two-way communication promptly and, if there is still no response, they will proceed to follow the pre-designated emergency protocol.

FallAlertTM can provide you with a comprehensive way of managing your risk of falling 24 hours a day and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that if you are unable to respond to an emergency you can still receive help. While automatic fall detection can detect more than 95% of falls, some movements may not be detected. In the event of a fall, if you are able, you should always press the button on the Medical Alert pendant to get help.3

3Certain precautions should be taken, especially those using walkers, wheelchairs, beds with guardrails, or who might encounter objects upon which the cord might become tangled.

Cellular

LifeCall Medical Alert System

For clients without a landline, LifeCall is pleased to offer a cellular medical alert systems option that has all the great features of our other personal emergency response systems. This system provides the same superior 24/7 service with the added capabilities of using 4G technology so you can be protected during an emergency without having a traditional phone line. A Standard cellular system is available as well as an Advanced model with FallAlertTM monitoring.

This device connects using electricity only and does not require a traditional telephone system. Although the system utilizes AT&T’s powerful wireless network, the communication pathway is more reliable than a cell phone because the unit is stationary and does not require full cellular coverage to operate. As long as the client is within 600 feet2 of the base monitoring unit, when the button is pressed using the pendant or wristband-style transmitter, the emergency call is placed, two-way voice communication is established, the client is connected with LifeCall’s emergency Response Center, and our skilled Emergency Care Specialists promptly evaluate the situation and notify the designated responders.

Standard Features

Standard with every in-home LifeCall medical alert system

Base Monitoring Unit

The heart of every traditional LifeCall system – whether landline-based or cellular – is the base monitoring unit. Designed for tabletop use, it is ideal for bedside placement. It plugs into your phone line just like an answering machine and connects wirelessly to the Medical Alert button. An ultra-sensitive microphone and voice amplification can pick up your voice and let you hear conversations with the Response Center in virtually any part of your home.

The base monitoring unit is easy to set up, conducts regular, automatic self-testing to confirm proper operation, and will alert LifeCall in the event of system trouble or if maintenance is required. The Station also features a HELP button for manual activation in the same manner as the Medical Alert buttons, as well as a CANCEL button that terminates alarms.

Medical Alert Button

Each LifeCall system features a discreet, Medical Alert button that can be worn either around the neck as an adjustable medical alert necklace or pendant or on the wrist as a medical alert bracelet – whichever you prefer. The Medical Alert button is water resistant (designed to wear in the bath or shower where falls most often occur) and with a battery life of 2-3 years will provide help whenever you need it. Unlike a cell phone, you wear your Medical Alert button 24/7 so that if worn properly help is always within reach. Designed for wear, the alert button is comfortable and unobtrusive.

Whenever the alert button is pressed within range of the base monitoring unit, the Station calls our emergency Response Center.

Emergency Response Center

All LifeCall subscribers have 24/7 access to our US-based emergency Response Center. In an emergency situation, the base monitoring unit contacts our dedicated emergency Response Center. Two-way voice communication is promptly established allowing you and a Response Center operator to talk directly with each other via the base monitoring unit.

Whether the distress signal is sent by pressing the Medical Alert button or by being triggered by a fall, when the high-speed two-way connection is complete, you’ll hear the reassuring voice of a trained and certified Emergency Care Specialist. We immediately check on your status and, in the event of an emergency, access your profile then contact the people you’ve identified – and emergency personnel, when appropriate – to get you the help you desire.

Back-up battery keeps the base monitoring unit operating in the event of a power outage
Compatible with most telephone formats (including landline, cable, VoIP)
System reliability underscored by automatically sending a weekly silent test signal to verify console operation and phone line connection
No phone line needed – cellular options available!
Call for help anywhere in/around your home up to 1,000 feet from the base monitoring unit6
Optional remote two-way voice console for extended coverage in large or multi-story homes
Line of sight, etc. Range on cellular and FallAlertTM units is 600 feet

Service availability, access and coverage on the AT&T wireless network is not guaranteed in all locations and at all times and is subject to change without notice.
